A SPECIAL VETTING SLIP

IT WAS AT THIS SPRING DECORATIVE FAIR WHERE MATTHEW FIRST MADE HIS MARK WITH WHAT WOULD BECOME HIS SIGNATURE BEAUTIFULLY DESIGNED STANDS.

In fact this was when Matthew’s friend and mentor, Annette Puttnam told him that with this stand he had really “grown up and come of age as a dealer”!

On the day before opening he returned to the stand after the vetters had done their rounds to find one of their ominous-looking vetting slips…only this time scrawled with words of praise, signed by all the vetters.
