Materials matter
Let’s be real—most of our clients choose materials and finishes based on aesthetics, and why not? The finished look is of utmost importance. But material provides more than just surface beauty. It dictates how something feels in the hand, how it wears over time, and ultimately, how long it lasts. The solid natural materials we use endure and evolve. Choosing them is, consciously or not, a commitment to doing things properly.
The way we source our materials is incredibly important to us and was recognised with a high B Corp score (102.3). We’re not saying our approach is perfect, but we buy timber from certified sources, as close to home as possible, and all of our brass is recycled. This doesn’t stop here – our whole team are listening, learning and looking for new ways to improve what we source and how we source it.
We take responsibility for the materials we choose for their durability, repairability and recyclability. We’re pleased if people like the look of them too, because with it, people are rejecting the temporary in favour of the permanent, the disposable in favour of the meaningful.
We want to do what we can to help people make wise choices, to make it easy for people to choose an approach that values longevity, craftsmanship, and the integrity of materials that truly matter.
