Layered narrative
Wow!House! is in full swing at Chelsea Harbour and judging by the Insta-buzz and flurry of articles, the design world has found a lot to love.
Collaborations between heavy hitters have drawn bands of ardent admirers for each of the rooms on social media. One room that has lit up the comments section is the De Le Cuona x Christian Bense collab which promises ‘grand safari meets London town. Blending South African and English style, it’s all about elegant living with a soul. They’ve created an absorbing and rich narrative: a room alive with history and adventure.
The layered narrative begins with de Le Cuona’s abundant natural textures and weaves. Beautifully chosen objects add grounding and whimsical notes to bring a heartbeat to the space. Christian and his team have also designed a beautiful and comprehensive list of suppliers which is available online. They’ve called out special mentions to Clemency Rittner for the curtains and wall treatments, Tess Newall for the hand-painted florals, and Victorian Dreams for the utterly dreamy faux bamboo beds.
For our part, we’d like to add special thanks to our team for creating the pair of Grecian benches at the foot of the beds. It has been said that they stole the show... We know the work that goes into these mighty oak benches, so well done team!
Finally, congratulations (and thanks) to the teams at Christian Bense and de Le Cuona and to everyone involved in making Wow!House! so incredibly wowwy.
