Our wonderful lantern in all its glory

If you’ve visited Lorfords Hangar 2 in the last couple of months you’ll probably have noticed this little lantern… all 2.5 metres and 180kg of it.

Transporting this beautiful giant from Stamford to the Cotswolds was something of an odyssey but after epic adventures involving pulleys, weighbridges, missing documentation and broken fingernails, this wonderful copper and glass globe is now hanging in all its glory.

Now we just need to find someone with a hall or lobby large enough to do justice to its planetary proportions.
