A hexagonal 1930s lantern

1. Description

I say this each time i find one of these lanterns – there are many things to love about them. Made by the English company Revo in the 1930s, they married an 18th-century Pagoda top and a Neoclassical finial, with an industrial construction in iron and brass, even using a wing nut as the opening catch – and the whole thing works beautifully. England c1940. Rewired, pat tested and with 100cm of brass chain and ceiling canopy (patinated to match the lantern).

Height: 48cm | Width: 27cm | Depth: 27cm
